Vintage .835 Silver Dutch Windmill Brooch, Porcelain painted with windmill scene in blue and white. C-Clasp with the pin extending beyond the frame of the brooch. Early 1900’s. Signed JV .835 and Delft. Excellent vintage Dutch 835 silver framed Delft porcelain brooch measuring 1.75″ long and 1.25″ tall – oval. It has the silver marking and initials JV marked on the hook of the clasp and is marked Delft on the back. It is not chipped or cracked. I do not even see crazing on this piece. The sterling has typical tarnish that can be polished if desired but I do not polish these old pieces as most buyers want them untouched. I did clean the surface of the porcelain after the photos as it had some residue on it. It is has no spotting or marks on the surface other than what should be there. The brown marks on the photo have gone away. This came from a PA estate. See photos. (Lot. LoC. w. 6.3018.1X1 – LD 8/2/18).
