Vintage 10kt Purple Sapphire Solitaire Ring, 1.15 CTW, Sz. 5.5. White gold. Great as engagement ring, September birthstone. The stone is a medium purple hue, tall basket with six prongs hold the stone that is appx. 6mm. Sits up appx. 7mm on the top of the finger white gold. Marked 10kt and tested. The band is appx. 2.4mm wide at top and tapers to 1.8mm at the back of the finger. Weight of the ring is appx. 2.20 gr. Age is estimated at later 1900’s. The stone tests as sapphire – could be natural or lab grown. That does not mean it is glass. If it is lab grown, It is made of the same materials as a natural stone with all the same properties. Siimulated is when it is made of any substance that looks like the stone – it will not test as the stone – can be glass, , crystal, resin, etc. This ring is not simulated but is natural or lab grown. Lab grown stones tend to be cleaner or more perfect than the natural stone because they are grown in controlled settings. (INV W.12321.4X4 SS6297 J LD 1/9/22).
I carry mostly vintage jewelry across all themes in my stores and listings. I am currently stampshopgirl in Ebay and have been since I think 2003. I transitioned from rubber stamping to vintage jewelry about six years ago and also carry other vintage items and am trying to change my presence to marias vintage and estate treasures. You may see both names until the transition is complete. You can find me on pinterest where all my ebay items are categorized – mariasvinta0654
I DO NOT STORE FINE METALS AND GEMSTONES ON PREMISES. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT QUESTIONS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU.
Thank you for stopping by, mariasvintage.
