Vintage 18kt Jade Ruby Sapphire Ring, Sz. 6.75, Domed, Early 1900’s, The ring has gold textured leaves on the bottom tier that point out between each of the 8 appx. 1ctw each jade cabochons for a total estimated weight of jade of 8 CTW. The next tier is a halo of 9 rubies each at appx .12 carat weight each for a total of appx. 1 ctw in rubies. On top is a near black, deep blue sapphire that is appx. .25 ctw. That stone is set with 5 prongs. Total carat weight of all stones is appx. 9.25 ctw. The ring sits high on the finger at appx. 18mm up to the top of the sapphire. It has a prong-like/spoke basket undercarriage. The band is the same width around and is 3mm. Weight of the ring is appx. 7.37 grams, 18kt marked and tested. It is not signed by the maker. The stones are natural. Age of the ring is not unknown for certain but from the estate collection it is believed to be 1940’s or earlier. Very good condition. Quite the show piece ring. Came from a consignor with a great collection of very nice family pieces. (INV. W. 6521.33X SS4914 J LMV LD 6/12/21).
We carry mostly vintage jewelry across all themes in my stores and listings. We have our own store and are and have been known as stampshopgirl in Ebay and have been since I think 2003. At one point we had a gift shop/rubber stamping store and switched over to vintage jewelry about six years ago on a full time basis, which also including taking and completing gemology classes as well as jewelry appraisal studies. We carry limited other vintage items and am trying to change our presence to marias vintage and estate treasures. You may see both names until the migration is complete. You can find us on pinterest where all ebay items and other venues are categorized – mariasvinta0654.
