Vintage Wire Rim Eyeglasses, Open Bottom, 1/10 12kt GF. In Case. Pre 1950’s Symbol (don’t know vendor)

Vintage Wire Rim Eyeglasses, unframed at bottom of lens,  in Case.  Signed with a symbol I do not know. Dr. Peters, Danville, PA.  1/10 12kt G.F.  Celluloid nose pieces and wrapped side pieces where they curve around the ears.  The lenses are angled toward the bottom on the nose side and an irregular shape – not round or oval.   The lens are not quite round or oval they are approximate 1.75″ across at the widest point of the lense and 1-5/8″ long   They are approximately 4-1/8″ across to where the frame begins to turn down across the top of the glasses.  The ear pieces are about 4.25″ long to where the bend begins to go behind the ear. They are coated around the curve but there is a crack in that coating.  The case is black with the name Dr. A. M. Peters, registered optometrist, Danville, PA on the lit in a silver to white print. These came from a PA estate auction.  See photos.  (Lot. Loc. W.9.118A.6 – LD 10/26/18).
