A Victorian French Jet Black Faceted Mourning Brooch that is 1.75″ b 1.25″ with a decorative edge – it does have some chips. The back has a poured like appearance – very rustic but true Victorian 1800’s piece. I’m sure this piece has a very interesting history. French Jet was the more economical mourning brooch back in its day. It is heavier than true jet and other materials used and cool to the touch. It is domed and angled downward and beveled cut on the outer frame with a scalloped trim. It does have wear but still great for the collector. See photos. (Lot Loc. Win.11.1916.G2.2)
