Vintage 1930-1940’s Silver Mexico Screw Back Earrings. They are a modern designs of two half falls a raised scroll and a leaf-like or fan design. They are marked Mexico and Silver – they test as pure silver but to be safe think of them as sterling content or higher just to be safe. They are substantial at a total weight of 14.34 grams. The angle of the photo makes the earrings look like they do not match, but they do – they are twins – it is because the one is leaning more forward in the photos. Someone had cleaned the earrings I got at this estate sale with silver paste. They should be fully cleaned off but I basically sell them as is because many buyers have indicated receiving them as is – they do not want them polished or cleaned so therefore I do not change the vintage state when I get it unless the buyer asks that I do so. These came from a PA estate sale where I did get about six pairs of vintage sterling similar Mexico earrings – and others, as well as rings, and some necklaces. The earrings are mostly 1930’s to mid-century. They are being listed here as well as in my Etsy store and maybe some in Ebay. If you would like to be directed to them, just message me. These are in good condition to very good condition but do need a little cleaning of the residue left behind. See photos. (Lot. Loc. Win.1/2817.5) L.D. 2/7/17.
