Vintage Sterling Mexican Abalone Pill Box, 1940’s-1950’s Signed ELM and iguala .925 as well as hecho en Mexico. There is a bird maker’s mark as well – eagle. Weight is appx. 8.57 grams. It has a scalloped solid horseshoe shape with a flat back at the hinge. It is appx. 1″ by 1-1/8″ and 1/2″ thick. Tested and tests as silver. Beautiful shimmery purple, blue, green and gray inlaid shimmering abalone. The green and blue in the center inlaid section. Very good condition with light expected oxidation that can be polished.
