Vintage Stick Pin, Carnelian, Sterling Silver – oval bezel set. This is Mid-Century or earlier. The entire pin is sterling silver – not just the top, for a total weight of 1.97 grams. The stone is clean and in very good condition – it is domed and 13 mm by 9.5 mm. This is an older design – the back of the pin attaches at the top in a Y-fashion and looks like it is a hand-crafted piece from back in the day – not a piece as made from the 1960’s on. They are often one area of attachment, and the top is sterling but the pin is an alloy. Stone is in very good condition with no chips or wear. It does have typical vintage patina that I do not remove except upon request as many buyers have indicated a preference for receiving it as is. This came from an estate lot along with other victorian and art deco pins and was stored in a very old jewelry box, definitely not a newer piece.
