Vintage Vogue Pixie Zodiac Brooch, Gemini with birthstone, aquamarine rhinestone, 16.61 grams. It is 2″ tall and 1.5″ wide – gold vermeil over sterling silver. Pixie twins are sharing holding a wand with their birthstone on top. One looks like it is holding a club or chicken or turkey drumstick. Age is between 1915-1935 at best estimation. This is from Vogue’s Zodiac Treasures Collection. It is highly collectible. Pixie twins holding an aquamarine rhinestone birthstone. This represents Gemini. Vogue jewelry was first produced by Park Importing Co .NYC, about 1915. Much of what is on the market today was manufactured in the late 1930’s to early 1970’s by Harold Shapiro, and his two partners, Jack Gilbert and George Grant. Shapiro left the company in 1961 and his son, Bernard, founded Les Bernard, Inc. in 1963. . The Vogue company ceased operations in early 1975. This came from a PA estate. Good condition with typical finish on the vermeil – can be polished but as these pieces are highly sought after, I would not change the finish as it could change the value. See photos. (Lot. Loc. We carry mostly vintage jewelry across all themes in my stores and listings. We have our own store and are and have been known as stampshopgirl in Ebay and have been since I think 2003. At one point we had a gift shop/rubber stamping store and switched over to vintage jewelry about six years ago on a full time basis, which also including taking and completing gemology classes as well as jewelry appraisal studies. We carry limited other vintage items and am trying to change our presence to marias vintage and estate treasures. You may see both names until the migration is complete. You can find us on pinterest where all ebay items and other venues are categorized – mariasvinta0654.
WE DO NOT STORE FINE METALS AND GEMSTONES ON PREMISES. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT QUESTIONS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ANSWERED IMMEDIATELY. THANK YOU.
Thank you for stopping by, mariasvintage.
