Vintage Turquoise composite inlaid paisley brooch and pendant combination – outer border tests 10kt gold – it appears to be a plating over the sterling – the acid test did not react but under magnification it does appear that on the edges you see the silver in some places. It is about 2.5″ long and 1.25″ wide at the widest point and down to 1/2″ at the bottom, slightly narrower at the very bottom. The turquoise is a rough inlay which I believe is made from turquoise dust and epoxy or some form of resign typical of similar pieces like this. It is signed TAXCO. (Mexico) – Weight is 10.55 grams. Good condition – buff marks on the metal – a little rustic on the inlay but still a nice authentic piece.
